Databases
Your library card opens up a world of information with access to members-only databases.
These collections of articles let you research anything! You can access these databases from the library
or from your home computer.To access the Novelist database:
1. Go to www.nlls.ab.ca or www.garrisonlibrary.ab.ca and select “Databases” from the main page.
2. Select Novelist from under the Literature, Film and the Arts heading.
3. You will be prompted to log on with your library card number and PIN
(the last four digits of your phone number).
4. You will be directed to the database and can start searching!
5. Look under the ‘For Readers’ tab for advice on what to read next.
Searches
There are numerous websites that allow you to enter the title or author of a book you liked,
and then they will display a list of other appropriate titles.

Browse books by popularity or notability.
- BookSense - Tracks weekly bestsellers in multiple categories.
Book Lists
Search for books by category.

If You Liked…
Find similar books to ones you’ve read or authors you like.
